Spirit in the Wood Drum bags are sized for djembes and two sizes of ashiko.  They are made with several layers to protect your drum from many mishaps.  The outer layer is authentic African mud cloth.  This is a thick cotton material hand made on traditional village looms.  Next is a layer on industrial grade Tyvek, the material they use to wrap houses under the siding.  Tyvek is very strong and keeps water out, yet allows the bag to breath a little .  Then there is a thick layer of polyester padding, double thick over the drum head.  The inside layer is then a soft domestic cotton material.  There is a special pocket inside the top of the bag that takes a small package of desiccant, humidity absorbing material such as found in many kinds of product packaging.  This keeps your drum head dry and tight during the humid weather.
